As we step into June, Father’s Day is only just around the corner. Weâ€™ve have our thinking caps on and have put together a list of all the best things going on in around Frome. With ideas for golfing Dadâ€™s to history buffs, hopefully we can provide some inspiration for finding that ultimate treat!
Over the whole of the Fatherâ€™s Day weekend, Bathâ€™s Festival of Motoring will give you and your Dad a chance to get up close and personal with over 500 vintage and classic cars and motorbikes. There is also the chance to hear some live music, try your hand at clay pigeon shooting and the Lansdown Model Flying Club display.
For the adventurous type, Vobster Quay Inland Diving Centre offer a huge range of lessons and equipment rentals for use in Vobster Quay. If your Dad is just testing the waters, how about a 2 hour â€˜Discover Scubaâ€™ session which is an easy introduction to exploring the underwater world. For more experienced divers there is are also plenty of courses available including lessons in open water diving and rescue diving.
From 12-4pm on Father’s Day, The Artisan will be firing up the BBQ on the garden terrace and offering a range of local, craft ales and beers. There will also be free face-painting and a craft table to entertain the little ones while Dad puts his feet up!
If itâ€™s the Ancient World that grabs your Dadâ€™s interest how about strolling over 2000 year old pavements on a guided tour by candlelight? Have every question youâ€™ve ever pondered about the Roman Baths answered before winding down with a three-course meal prepared by renowned caterer Searcys. These events run up until September so great for occasions other than Father’s Day as well!
